About LICGFLICGF, located in B102 Steenbock Library, is a UW-Madison resource for the development and application of geographic information system technology for natural resource management and land records modernization. The facility provides a venue for both inter-disciplinary, multi-agency projects and individual faculty and student research efforts. One of the important missions of LICGF is providing instructional material in the form of "hands-on" workshops, video courses, university curriculum and the publication: Land Information Bulletin. The "hands-on" workshops that we offer range from introductory GIS/LIS topics to more advanced topics like 3D Visualization of GIS data. We are an ESRI Authorized Learning Center offering seven ESRI authorized courses. Two of our instructors are ESRI Authorized. We recommend that you register at least two weeks prior to the course offering. Please phone ahead if you are registering for a class that occurs the next week in order for us to best assure adequate seating and materials. Be sure to check out our Registration page to see if you qualify for a discount!! Group training:We offer customized and group training at your site or ours. If you organization has a group that could benefit from our training (either customized or standard), please call or email Tom McClintock (608-263-5534, tlmcclin@wisc.edu) to discuss training options.
