The digital orthophotos for Vernon County were produced by Ayres Associates as part of the Southwestern Wisconsin Digital Orthophotography Consortium Project. The digital orthophotography was produced from aerial photography flown in May 1995, and a digital terrain model (DTM) derived by photogrammetric techniques based on GPS control in Vernon County coordinates (NAD83). The data was collected on a Kern DSR 14 Analytical Stereoplotter and Zeiss P33 Analytical Stereoplotter using the Kork Digital Mapping System (KDMS) version 9.1 digital mapping software. The final edit versions of the data sets were developed in Intergraph Microstation v 5.0. Final deliverable datasets were in Intergraph Microstation Version 5.0.
