The federally designated archaeological district boundary was entered via coordinate geometry from an undocumented map provided by the Wisconsin State Historical Society (SHS). The boundary represents the most economical line which could be drawn around a cluster of archeological sites for purposes of registering the district with the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). Some sites may exist outside the boundary. There are no attributes associated with this data layer.
