Mission 

The overall mission of the Land Information and Computer Graphics Facility (LICGF) is to provide research, training, and outreach in the use of land and geographic information systems (LIS/GIS). Our mission focuses on land records modernization, land and natural resource management applications, and the use of information for land-use decision-making.

RGIS 
National Consortium for Rural Geospatial Innovations in America (RGIS).  LICGF is the administrative home and the Great Lakes site. RGIS is an 8-member national consortium dedicated to the alleviation of the "digital divide" facing rural America.

National Science Foundation Digital Government Project
Integrating Metadata Development, XML, and DBMS Search and Query Techniques in a State of Wisconsin Land Information System. 

Wisconsin Coastal GIS Applications Project
The Wisconsin Coastal GIS Applications Project is a cooperative venture of the University of Wisconsin Sea Grant Institute and LICGF. The primary goal of the project is to teach the application of GIS/LIS and related spatial technologies to local government staff and officials to aid them in moving towards the sustainable management of Great Lakes coastal resources.
