ArcView 8.1Student ArcView 9

Full-time and part-time students have the option to purchase ESRI Software directly.  There are 2 options:

1) a one-year time-out copy of ArcEditor 9.3.1 single-use, with ArcGIS Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst, Network Analyst and Geostatistical Analyst.  Cost: $100

2) a non-expiring copy of ArcEditor 9.3.1 single-use for $250, with extensions available for $250 each.

This new student product does not include data sets, hardcopy books, or technical support, which should be available to them through their course work, online, or on the media CDs (PDFs of books).

Students may contact the Telebusiness Department at ESRI at 800-447-9778 for further information or to purchase these new student software products.

ArcGIS Spatial Analyst

Spatial AnalystArcGIS Spatial Analyst provides a broad range of powerful spatial modeling and analysis features. With it you can:

Create, query, map, and analyze cell-based raster data.

         Perform integrated raster/vector analysis.

Derive new information from existing data.

Query information across multiple data layers.

Fully integrate cell-based raster data with traditional vector data sources.

         Functions Include:

        Surface analysis

        Terrain analysis

        Map algebra

ArcGIS Geostatistical Analyst

Probability KrigingArcGIS Geostatistical Analyst is an ArcGIS extension that provides a powerful suite of tools for spatial data exploration and optimal surface generation using sophisticated methods. Geostatistical Analyst allows users to create a surface from data measurements occurring over an area where collecting information for every possible location would be impractical. From improving estimation of temperature values, assessing environmental risks, or predicting the existence of any geophysical element, ArcGIS Geostatistical Analyst gives anyone with spatial data the freedom to investigate, visualize, and create optimal surfaces

ArcGIS 3D Analyst

3D AnalystArcGIS 3D Analyst enables users to effectively visualize and analyze surface data. Using 3D Analyst, you can view a surface from multiple viewpoints, query a surface, determine what is visible from a chosen location on a surface, and create a realistic perspective image draping raster and vector data over a surface.

The core of the 3D Analyst extension is the ArcScene application. ArcScene provides the interface for viewing multiple layers of three-dimensional data and for creating and analyzing surfaces.

ArcGIS 3D Analyst provides a suite of methods for interactive perspective viewing and advanced tools for three-dimensional modeling and analysis applications, to allow you to create dynamic and interactive maps that will elevate your geographic visualization and analysis.
