ArcGIS 9: Professional GIS offers advanced modeling and analysis capabilities.

The following licenses are available:

  • For Unix, contains "Workstation" ArcInfo.
  • For Windows NT, 2K or XP
    • Stand-alone ArcView or ArcEditor
    • Floating ArcView/ArcEditor/ArcInfo.

All license levels have the desktop applications:

ArcMap: For interactive query and analysis, and creating cartographic output.

ArcCatalog: For data management, browsing, and metadata creation/viewing.

Extensions are also available:

    3D Analyst Streetmap
    Geostatistical Analyst ArcGIS Schematics
    ArcPress  

ArcView comes with or without extensions. ArcInfo includes all extensions.

ArcView GIS (3.3): The leading mapping and GIS software for the desktop. Very cutomizable, includes a scripting language (Avenue), many spatial query and analytical tools.

    Our Site license includes Extensions:
    • Spatial Analyst: a full-function raster GIS
    • Network Analyst: for street or other linear network analysis
    • 3D Analyst: for visualizing surfaces and real-time rotation and viewing.
    • Arcview Internet Map Server: for publishing Views on the Web
    • StreetMap: Street level addressable data and friendly mapping interface
    • Image Analysis: An ERDAS/ESRI extension for image processing, contains some nice alignment and image editing tools

    ...as well as many standard extensions supplied by ESRI and Users.

MapObjects: An extensive library of mapping and GIS software components. A collection of powerful mapping and GIS components including an ActiveX control (OCX) and more than 30 ActiveX automation objects. MapObjects works in standard Windows development environments such as Visual BasicŪ, DelphiŪ, Visual C++, PowerBuilderŪ, Access, and others. Now includes Java version.

ArcPad: Mobile mapping and geographic information system (GIS) technology. ArcPad provides database access, mapping, GIS, and global positioning system (GPS) integration to users out in the field via handheld and mobile devices. Data collection with ArcPad is fast, easy, and significantly improved with immediate data validation and availability. You can customize ArcPad using the ArcPad Application Builder.

Internet Map Server: Publish live maps or provide worldwide map and data access via the Web, including ArcExplorer-viewable projects with Map Objects IMS. Arcview IMS includes a built-in setup wizard and ready-to-use Java applet to help you publish your data quickly. Interactive maps can be created from a number of different types of spatial data and a variety of graphic images.

pcArc/Info: PC ARC/INFO gives you full GIS functionality for the management, analysis, display, and mapping of geographic information on Windows and DOS computers. PC ARC/INFO is a series of six integrated software modules that combine fundamental geographic information system (GIS) tools and utilities for cartographic design and query, data entry and editing, data translation, polygon overlay and buffering, and network analysis and modeling.

ArcCAD: ESRI's ArcCAD software gives you full geographic information system (GIS) functionality within AutoCAD.
